Our puppies are a unique blend of Australian shepherd and Scotch Collie. The Australian shepherd is known as a ranch dog because of its abilty to solve problems, endurance, herding instinct, and agility. Aussies also make great companion or family dogs because they are very loyal and willing to please. They can be quite cunning but the good thing is that they are extremely trainable.
The Scotch Collie is a great dog for anybody. They date back to the 1800s, originating in the highlands of Scotland, where their primary job was herding. Most people today recognize the Scotitsh Collie from the iconic movie Lassie. They are very tolerant, outgoing and friendly. Gentle and cool-headed collies are wonderful with children. They do need exercise, but they are not as "high octane" as the border collie.
Overall, these dogs are intelligent, which means they are not for a novice or someone who isn't home alot. These dogs were bred to be faithful and trainable for whatever job you need them to do, whether on the farm, in the family or anything else, these dogs are sure to please.
